Carl (Christian) Olsson is a geographer and writer interested in the deep structures of geographical thought. His work tells stories about geographers who get lost in space, extracting philosophical implications from scenarios that span the mundane and the otherworldly. Carl holds a PhD in Human Geography from Newcastle University. He contributed to the second cycle of The Terraforming at Strelka Institute, has been a visiting scholar at Waseda University and has taught at The New Centre for Research & Practice. He is currently affiliated with the Centre for Oresund Region Studies at Lund University. His writing has appeared with Urbanomic, ŠUM, and different geography journals and edited books.
